I have not done a Christmas haul post in a while, so I have one today with some lovely Christmassy items. If you have been following my Instagram stories this week, you will know I was super excited when the Sally Swannell sale went live. Today I’m going to share with you all the lovely items I bought in a Christmas haul post. It has lots of ideas for starting your Christmas shopping now.
Regular readers will know that I love Sally Swannell designs and I have spoken about her artwork before. I have a number of her prints in my home and recently had a beautiful advent card in the run up to Christmas.
Just a note that I purchased all these items myself, this post is not sponsored or gifted. I just love the Sally Swannell brand and think everyone else should too.
Christmas Stock Clearance Items
All the items in this Christmas haul were in the Sally Swannell Christmas stock clearance. There were lots of great bargains to be had and I really struggled not to buy everything on offer. Here are the items I did buy. Hopefully you will find some ideas to get your Christmas shopping started.
Little Book of Christmas
The first item I bought was a small plain paper note book called A little book of Christmas – Father Christmas. I’m always really surprised that there is very little Christmas themed stationary available in the run up to Christmas.
Before Christmas I had only managed to buy a shopping list pad and for Christmas I received a small note book from Wrendale designs. So I was pleased to be able to add this small notebook to my collection. It was reduced from £4.50 to £2.50.
Christmas House Invitation Cards
On the subject of stationary I also purchased the Christmas House invitation cards. In this set you get 8 invitation cards and envelopes. Beautifully illustrated and I thought they would be a cute way to send out my invitations for Christmas events this year. They were reduced from £4.75 – £1.50.
Christmas Card Sets
I managed to get two sets of Christmas cards; Christmas Kitchen and Christmas Dresser. I have a trio print of Sally Swannell designs up in my kitchen all year round. They are all kitchen based designs; Dresser, Baking Day and Domestic Goddess.
Part of the reason for buying these card sets is to hopefully use one of each set to make up my own frame to use in the kitchen at Christmas time as part of my decorations. Each set has 8 luxury cards & envelopes and comes in an illustrated presentation box. They are almost too beautiful to send. Each set was reduced from £6 to £2.50.
Christmas House Wall Plaque
I purchased one other décor piece in my Christmas haul; the Christmas House wall plaque. This is made from mdf, printed with a lovely snowy Christmas scene and finished with a ribbon and bow.
Even though I bought lots of Christmas decorations this year, I still have lots of blank spaces in my Christmas decorating to fill since we moved to a new house. I can think of so many places where this could go, I wish there had been more designs to choose from so I could have got a few more. The plaque was reduced from £7.50 to £3.
Advent Calendars & Cards
I love illustrated advent calendars and cards, I think they are so simple and charming. You can read my blog post about my advent calendar traditions here. I had the Sally Swannell design “Christmas Kitchen” advent card this last year and it was so beautifully festive. Not only was the illustration on the front perfect but behind each window was a tiny and detailed mini drawing of Christmas gifts, foods and scenes. It was a delight to open each day.
If you are looking for a change to the normal treat based advent calendars then I would really recommend you try one of these. It’s not about what you get; just a simple, beautiful celebration counting down until Christmas.
The two advent cards I went for were “Christmas House” and “Snowy Street”. Both the cards I got last year were inside scenes, so I thought I would opt for outdoor snowy ones this year. One will be for myself and one will be an advent gift for my sister, as per tradition. They were both reduced from £3.50 to £1.50.
The larger advent calendars I purchased in my Christmas haul were the designs “Dresser” and “Snowy Garden”. I’m in two minds about whether these are actually too good to use as advent calendars. I may get these framed and use them in my Christmas decorating. The quality is exceptional and little details, like some of the windows being shaped to match the design, make them very special. Both of these were £6 reduced to £2.50.
Stockings Gift Wrap, Bag and Tag Set
As part of the sale, if you spend over £15 you receive a complimentary Christmas gift wrap, bag and tag set. I received the “Christmas Stockings” set. It has two sheets of gift wrap, one gift bag and 6 gift tags in the set. I will definitely be keeping it to wrap special gifts.
Go Check Out the Sale for Yourself
I’m so please with all my items. They are all such fantastic quality and beautiful designs, as I knew they would be having purchased several items previously.
You can check out the sale for yourself on the Sally Swannell website here. There are still lots of the items mentioned above available, plus lots of others too. I would also reccommend signing up to the newsletter on the website too as that is how I found out about the sale.
